Day tours
On per-person tours, children aged 6 to 10 pay ~70% of the adult price; under 6, 50%. Eden in the Garden: the rate is for the whole group and each child counts as one person. Free cancellation up to 48 h before (except Eden in the Garden, non-refundable).
Departure times and pickup: Most tours pick you up at your lodging in Xilitla or Ciudad Valles between 8:00 and 9:00 AM. Huasteca Instagrameable (set times depending on the day) run on a different schedule. These pick up only at your lodging in Xilitla, on their own schedule: Coffee Trail (8:00–9:00 AM), Xilo Cave (7:00 PM), Sea of Clouds Sunrise (3:00–4:00 AM), Olla de la Luz (7:00–8:00 AM) and Eden in the Garden (set times depending on the day); from Ciudad Valles they carry an additional cost we'll quote on WhatsApp. RZR Off-Road Ride in Xilitla (9:00 AM–5:00 PM): we meet at our base in Xilitla; transport to Xilitla isn't included. Scuba Diving at Media Luna: we meet at the entrance of the Media Luna Lagoon, in Rioverde; you make your own way there.

It depends on how many days you stay. A guided day tour in the Huasteca Potosina costs between $900 and $1,850 MXN per person (Mexican pesos), and that is the final price: depending on the tour it includes transport from your lodging, entrance fees, a guide and, on 5 of them, breakfast. A full 3-to-5-day trip with hotel and tours runs from $8,299 to $15,700 MXN per couple with our packages. On top of that, budget how you get to the region (a bus from Mexico City is roughly $800–$1,100 MXN each way) plus your lunches and dinners, which are not included.
How much does a 3-day trip to the Huasteca Potosina with hotel cost?
The shortest trip with hotel we run is 3 days / 2 nights: the Huasteca Immersion package, built for couples and first time in the huasteca, at $8,299 MXN per couple. It includes 2 nights at Hotel Paraíso Encantado in Xilitla, buffet breakfast on tour days, 2 days of guided touring, transport from the hotel to each tour and back, entrance fees, NOM-09 SECTUR certified guides, safety gear and travel insurance. It does not include getting to Xilitla, or lunches and dinners. The rest of the packages are not sorted by length but by who is traveling (Gran Huasteca Package, Adventure Package, Huasteca Odyssey): 4 to 5 days, from $11,690 to $15,700 MXN per couple.
Are tour prices per person?
Yes. Every day tour in the Huasteca Potosina is priced per person in Mexican pesos, except the RZR Off-Road Ride in Xilitla, which is priced per vehicle (from $1,600 MXN per unit, seating 2 to 6 people depending on the model, up to $7,000 MXN for the largest vehicle on the longest route), and Eden in the Garden, priced per group: $2,990 to $4,160 MXN for the whole group depending on its size (1 to 7 people). Packages with hotel are sold per couple (a base of two adults); from the third traveler on you add their bed and one ticket per tour.
What is included in the price, and what is not?
The price you see is the final price. Depending on the tour it includes round-trip transport from your lodging (8 tours pick up in Xilitla or Ciudad Valles and 5 in Xilitla only), entrance fees to parks and attractions, a local guide and safety gear; 5 of them also include a regional breakfast (Tamul Expedition, Surrealist Route, El Meco Waterfalls, Stepped Paradise, and Water Route). Every tour includes travel insurance and the photos and video of the trip. It does not include getting to the Huasteca (bus or flight to Ciudad Valles or Xilitla), meals the tour does not list, tips, or souvenirs and personal spending. There are no surprise charges on arrival.
How much do you pay when you book?
A 30% deposit holds your booking and you settle the rest on the day of the tour, in cash or by card. You can also pay 100% up front if you prefer. Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before the tour. The exception is Eden in the Garden. This experience is non-refundable: once it's booked, that day is closed to everyone else. You can move it instead by telling us 5 or more days ahead, keeping the full amount valid for 6 months. If the weather forces a cancellation, we reschedule at no cost.
Is there a discount for children?
Yes. On tours priced per person, children aged 6 to 10 pay around 70% of the adult price, and children under 6 pay 50%. The discount is applied automatically when you book online. On Eden in the Garden the rate is for the whole group, and each child counts as one more person in it. The RZR Off-Road Ride in Xilitla is priced per vehicle.
Can I pay by card, or do I have to pay cash?
You can book and pay online by credit or debit card securely, or hold your spot over WhatsApp. We do recommend carrying some cash for souvenirs and local food, because several spots in the mountains have no ATMs.
How much does a private tour cost?
