Breathing underwater has never been this easy or accessible: the most important requirement is your desire to do it — we take care of the rest. This is a 'Discover Scuba Diving' program designed so you can live your dream of trying scuba even if you've never worn a tank before.
We do it at the Media Luna Lagoon in Rioverde, San Luis Potosí, with its fresh, crystal-clear water — an ideal place to make your first dive calmly and safely.
All it takes is 4 hours of training. During that time you learn the basics of diving with SCUBA gear, including the equipment and diving techniques. First you get a short briefing from a PADI-certified instructor; then you practice your skills in shallow water, building confidence and comfort, and when you're ready you descend between 5 and 10 meters below the surface, always accompanied.
Your day includes the PADI instructor, the diving gear and digital photos to remember it by. You only need to bring a swimsuit, a towel and cash for the park entrance. It's an activity for ages 10 and up in good health; it's not suitable for people with respiratory, cardiovascular or ear conditions, nor for pregnant women, and you can't dive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Meeting point
We meet at the entrance to the Media Luna Lagoon, in Rioverde. You make your own way there and the park admission is paid on site, in cash.

Orientation
Your PADI-certified instructor walks you through the SCUBA gear piece by piece and how to breathe underwater. Nobody is in a hurry here.

Shallow-water practice
The basic skills where you can still stand: clearing your mask, recovering the regulator, controlling your buoyancy.
- 11:00 AM
The dive
You go down 5 to 10 metres with your instructor beside you, among the submerged cypress trees and the clear water of the lagoon. Photos are included.
- 12:00 PM
Wrap-up
You hand back the gear and keep the digital photos of your first dive.
