To visit Xilitla — Surrealist Magic Town we recommend bringing: rubber-soled shoes with deep traction (trail running), dark or earth-tone clothing (moss stains permanently), enough cash (ATMs can run dry), an advance reservation for Las Pozas, umbrella or light rain jacket. Important: Don't drive to Xilitla after 6 PM — unlit roads and dense fog. ATMs can run out of cash on holidays. Reserve up to 60 days ahead in high season. A guide is required at Las Pozas (+$30 MXN).
